SSS arrests 7 Cult Members for rape!

The Kwara State Director of the State Security Services, Mr. Williams Onoja, on Friday said the agency arrested seven suspects in connection with abduction, rape and cultism.

The suspects are Abdulrasak Abubakar, Musa Sikirullahi, Kamaldeen Isiaka, Olanrewaju Lawal, Ibrahim Olanrewaju, Tunde Yusuf and Abdulrahman Jimoh.

Onoja said about four of the suspects allegedly raped a student in one of the colleges of education in the state after she was abducted.
He said the suspects could be members of a cult gang in the state.
He stated that items recovered from the suspects included a locally-made gun, knives, charms and fake currencies.

He stated that the agency was informed that one of the victims was beheaded in order to hide his identity.
He urged members of the public to assist security operatives with information to reduce crime or apprehend the suspects.

He said this would help security agencies to ensure safety of lives and property in the society.
He said, “They were arrested in connection with abduction, rape and cult activities. Their arrests followed the cooperation of members of the society. If the victim had not reported, it would have been difficult for us to make these arrests.”

Some of the suspects said they were not involved in the rape allegation and accused three of the gang members as being involved in the rape.
One of them said he was arrested because he is the owner of the room where the victim was raped.
