Stabbed singer: Landlord’s son charged with assault

Tobi Obadina, the man alleged to have stabbed singer, Tiwa Baker, in Iyana-Ipaja area of Lagos State, has been arraigned before an Ojokoro Magistrate’s Court, Lagos. Obadina, who is the son of the landlord of the house where the singer lives, was charged

with assaulting the singer, her younger brother, Olaniyi and a neighbour, Olusola Ajayi, on Dec. 9, 2012, at their home located at 20, Yusuf Street.

The suspect, who was accused of stabbing the victims with a broken tumbler, pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to him.

The 23-year-old was granted bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties with the evidence of tax payment.
